Stanislaw W. Pappius P.Eng.
Stanislaw was born in Krakow, Poland and received his engineering education at Royal Naval Engineering College, Keham, Devonport, England, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1945. In addition he complete an Advanced Machine Design course at McGill University in 1949, followed by an industrial Management course at McGill in 1956. This was added to with an Accounting and Cost control course at McGill in 1964 and a CDM for Project Management, Scheduling and Cost Control Systems at McGill in 1967.
He began his extensive employment career in Canada at Canadian Vickers Ltd. as a Design and Sales Engineer from 1946-1960. This was followed by employment at Dominion Bridge from 1960-1967. His continued employment from 1967-1970 was with Acres Quebec as Executive Engineer. Manager of Engineering at Canadian Vickers Ltd. succeeded this until 1973. He then became Chief Mechanical Engineer with SNC Montreal until 1977. He then formed his own company as President, Stan W. Pappius and Associates to act as Eastern Canadian agents for Mitsui and Company (Canada) Ltd.
Stan is a member of the Order of Engineers, Quebec, a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada and a member of the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers.
