Marc A. Rosen

Marc Rosen has excelled as an engineering academic and is a technical society leader.

Marc’s early years in academia were at Ryerson Polytechnic University where he rose to chair the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Marc went on to create the School of Manufacturing Engineering at the nascent University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) and was founding Dean of Engineering and Applied Science.

As a Member of CSME, Marc distinguished himself on technical committees and was elected President of CSME. Subsequently, his broader contributions were recognized when he was elected as President of the EIC in 2008.

Marc’s community contributions were endorsed by his appointment to the Board of Directors of the Oshawa Power and Utilities Corporation.

Marc Rosen has earned wide respect for his engineering academic achievements and contributions to engineering technical societies in Canada and internationally.

Marc is an inspirational model for engineering academics.
