MALCOLM REEVES
Malcolm graduated from the University ofDurham in 1968 with aB.Sc. (Geology) and was awarded a Ph.D. (Engineering Geology) in 1971. He worked as an engineer and geoscientist in British industry, government and academia from 1971-1982 when he was appointed as Professor of Geological Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan.
From 1982 to 2011, Malcolm led the Geological Engineering program while also serving as a member of several committees. He retired as Acting Associate Dean of Engineering in 2011. In 1995, Malcolm helped found MDH Engineered Solutions which in 2011 became part of SNC Lavalin. Malcolm continues to work for SNC-Lavalin and SRK Consulting.
Malcolm also served on several committees of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan and as a Councillor. He is a past-chair of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board and currently serves as a member. A Fellow of Engineers Canada and Geoscientists Canada, Malcolm was awarded the Roy McCannel medal in 2016 for his service to APEGS and to the engineering profession.
