KENNETH FROM
Ken graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1979 with a B. Sc. (Mechanical Engineering). After a brief period in consulting assignments, he joined the Saskatchewan Power Corporation and shortly thereafter SaskEnergy where he was instrumental in developing Saskatchewan’s natural gas distribution system which serves 93% of the Province’s communities. In 2007, he retired as Senior Vice-President of Gas Supply
and Business Development and entered the private sector. In 2010, Ken retumed to the public sector serving for two years as the first CEO of the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan.
Ken is a longtime member of the Association ofProfessional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). He served for several years as a Member of Council including President in 2003-2004. Ken has also been very involved with Engineers Canada having chaired the Finance and Audit Committee and as a member of the Executive and various committees and task groups.
In recognition of his services to the engineering profession, Ken has received several awards including the Brian Eckel Distinguished Service Award in 2014, the APEGS’ highest honor.
